We are pleased to share that several ViCom projects were featured at Sinn und Bedeutung 29, held this year in Noto, Sicily. It is the European forum for the presentation and discussion of work in semantics, pragmatics, philosophy of language and related fields.

The following ViCom project contributions were featured:
- Mailin Antomo, Lea Fricke, Patrick G. Grosz, Tatjana Scheffler: Lying and commitment with (not-)at-issue emojis
- Kathryn Barnes, Sebastian Walter: Ideophones and reported speech: Depicting actions, events and speech
- Yuqiu Chen, Mailin Antomo: The information status of co-speech gestures: evidence from lying and commitment
- Lennart Fritzsche, Nadine Bade, Cornelia Ebert, Cécile Meier: Ja or Jaaaaa? Scale Interpretation in Iconically Lengthened Response Particles (Poster)
- Cornelia Loos, Sophie Repp: Beyond ‘yes’ and ‘no’: Multimodal multilexical polar responses in German
- Andy Lücking, Jonathan Ginzburg: Postmodern Quantification with Stuff
- Sebastian Walter, Cornelia Ebert, Stefan Hinterwimmer: Viewpoint matters: Prototypical vs. non-prototypical co-speech gestures in the VP domain
- Sebastian Walter, Stefan Hinterwimmer: Shifted face emoji in indirect discourse: A mixed-quotational approach

The submissions from ViCom represented a diverse range of research in visual communication, making our program highly visible throughout the event. It was a valuable opportunity for our researchers to showcase their work and engage in productive discussions with others in the field.
We are grateful to everyone who presented and participated and look forward to seeing the further development and success of these projects as part of the ongoing work of the ViCom program.
