Multimodality in Social Interactions in Marseille

The workshop on Multimodality in Social Interactions was very inspiring, we (Šárka Kadavá, Chiara Zulberti, Susanne Fuchs & Alina Gregori) learned a lot, and heard about different fields in multimodality research, especially with regard to cognitive sciences in production and perception as well as across different populations (e.g., persons with ASD, children, primates and whales). The workshop had room for interesting and productive discussions on these topics in addition to informal conversations in coffee breaks, at lunch or after the workshop, all accompanied by great French snacks. We got to know many people and perspectives working on multimodality which sparked connections and potential collaborations for the future. We are very happy to having been part of this workshop and to have represented ViCom strongly in Marseille!
