Associate, Postdoc Researcher Phase 1

Lea Fricke is a permanent lecturer at the Institute for English and American studies at the University of Kassel. During the first phase of ViCom, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the project “Semantics and Pragmatics of Emojis in Digital Communication. Her research interests lie in the area of semantics, pragmatics and empirical linguistics. She has worked on emojis, embedded questions, the German prefield-es, scalar implicatures and experimental methodology. Lea completed her PhD at the University of Graz after being part of the XPrag.de project “Exhaustiveness in embedded questions across languages“.
