PhD candidate

is a PhD candidate at Leibniz – Zentrum Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft (ZAS) where she is investigating doubling in signed child language in A-bar variable positions (DISCAVA). She previously completed a BA in (General) Linguistics at Utrecht University (the Netherlands), followed by a joint MA in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL) at the universities of Groningen (the Netherlands), Ghent (Belgium), and Eastern Finland. She is specifically interested in sign language acquisition, the physical properties and syntactic structure of sign language. Her main focus of study has been sign language use in child–caregiver interaction, where she has specifically studied the interactional and articulatory characteristics of child and infant-directed sign language.
