Danniely de Oliveira Campos holds a degree in Biology from the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Brazil, a specialization in Environmental Planning and Management, and a Master’s degree in Ecology from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Brazil. She is currently a PhD student and a FACEPE (Pernambuco State Science, Technology and Innovation Support Foundation) scholarship holder, conducting research on communication and social interactions between mothers and calves of the Guiana dolphin (Sotalia guianensis). Her research interests include animal communication, behavioral ecology, bioacoustics, and the conservation of aquatic mammals, with a particular focus on the West Indian manatee and Guiana dolphin.
